International League. Exact reproduction of the 1946 road jersey. Authentic gray wool flannel with royal blue braid trim on front and sleeves, royal script felt applique lettering. Jackie Robinson's #9 sewn on the back. Made in USA. The Royals were the Dodgers' top farm club for years and many future Dodgers stars played in Montreal. On April 18, 1946 Jackie Robinson - wearing this shirt - stepped onto the field in Jersey City, NJ and became the first black player in modern history to break organized baseball's unwritten color line. Robinson merely went on to lead the International League in batting average and fielding percentage, and was promoted to Brooklyn the following season.
